The piano is a GREAT place to begin your musical journey! The keys are layed out in an intuative way, the notes are tuned for you, and its versatility allows it to sound incredible in just about any setting - from churches to rock concerts!

My goal as a piano teacher is to provide a comfortable, motivating environment where students feel safe to try, to fail, to share what is working for them and what isn't.

With this goal in mind, I am so excited to see what you (or your child) will do!

In our piano lessons we will:

• Create a practice plan based on your goals and schedule

• Celebrate and stay motivated with practice rewards

• Work on pieces that are interesting to you!

• Learn music theory in a fun and intuitive way

• Cover the basics of improvisation and composition - REALLY anyone can create music!

• Work toward performance opportunities (this may look different for each student depending on his or her goals)
